HR.com shares timely, relevant HR information with members

The Client: HR.com is an information portal for Human Resource practitioners. It connects companies with the knowledge and resources they need to effectively manage the people side of business. HR.com delivers HR best practices to help organizations build great companies through community, collaboration, research, shared best practices, and measurements.

The Challenge: HR.com wanted to expand its existing offerings and provide another outlet in which it could share timely, relevant HR information with its members.

The Solution: HR.com is using webinars delivered by Vcall as a value-add for its members. Through interactive multimedia seminars it can offer additional educational content to members and provide recertification sessions to HR professionals, who must renew their certification yearly.

HR.com takes full advantage of Vcall's webinar capabilities, offering a variety of content online. It averages seven to ten webinars each week — 400 a year. An editorial calendar of Educational Webcasts as well as weekly "Thought Leader" and "Reality HR" webinars that include best practices and how-to focused content, provides HR.com members with a webinar schedule for the year. Webinars featuring updates on the latest news and trends in the industry, as well as custom webinars sponsored by HR.com clients (such as Oracle and Recruitmax) are added to the schedule as needed. Content for sponsored webinars is created in-house and presented by a HR.com analyst and/or the sponsor.

The Results: In the two years since implementing the Vcall webinar solution, HR.com's events have been a significant draw for its members. HR.com has seen excellent attendance for both its educational and sponsored events. On average, HR.com's "Thought Leader" and "Reality HR" webinars now attract between 100-150 people, and sponsored events have attracted up to 900 attendees.

Why Vcall? Vcall provided the stability and reliability that HR.com required throughout its webcasting and web conferencing experience. VoIP capabilities were also a must in HR.com's selection process.

HR.com found that alternative solutions lacked stability and the many glitches prompted HR.com to seek a new provider. WebEx and Microsoft Live Office were among the many webcast vendors included in HR.com's search. Both of these applications were tested and crashed during HR.com's testing. Other providers were ruled out for similar reasons. Vcall was the only service that provided consistent reliability and personalized service.

Additionally, HR.com was impressed with Vcall's many interactive features for web conferencing, including Vcall's polling capabilities that allow for live data and input from attendees. HR.com also takes full advantage of Vcall's live video capabilities, evaluations, and charting and reporting tools.

According to Stacey Levers, HR.com's Online Event Manager, Vcall has gone above and beyond the call of duty when working with her on issues regarding live video, setting up archives and enhancing HR.com's branding during the live events.
